Under arbeidet med boken ''Amor Fati – om å elske sin skjebne'' ble Kristin Flood inspirert av Øystein Sevågs musikk, som fulgte henne gjennom hele skriveprosessen. Da boken var utgitt, kontaktet hun Sevåg i Tyskland, der han bor, og spurte om han ville samarbeide om en litterær-musikalsk versjon. Han likte ideen og inviterte Kristin Flood til å gi ut CD-en på sitt eget plateselskap, Siddhartha Records.

Ledsaget av Øystein Sevågs musikk leser forfatteren selv femten utvalgte tekster - et knippe med små nytelser i ord og toner, til ettertanke og inspirasjon.
